Foraging For Chanterelle Mushrooms In Algoma, Northern Ontario

Chanterelle Mushrooms is the common name of several species of wild edible mushrooms in the genera Cantharellus. I was lucky to get out with my nephew to forage for wild Chanterelle mushrooms in northern Ontario’s Algoma region, where we live. There are a lot of wild mushrooms you can eat in Ontario, but chanterelle mushrooms are one of our favourite. These wild mushrooms generally start to appear in late summer and will continue to grow for a few weeks. The video shows a bit about where to look for chanterelles and hiking around, mushroom picking in Ontario.
